Aurora Borealis Music is an artist development and promotion company based in Liverpool since 2003.
In addition to private singing lessons (SLS) and song writing tuition and performance coaching, we also do one off workshops and courses. Clients include professional recording artists, managers, record labels, choirs, schools, colleges and universities, the BBC Blast Project (songwriting), Knowsley Arts Service with BAFTA winning composer Bill Connor, the Music Development Agency and Liverpool University, Youth Music and Sense of Sound.

| Kaya biography |

The director of Aurora Borealis Music, Kaya Herstad, came over from her native Norway in 1999.
In addition to a permanent position teaching singing at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), and running workshops and masterclasses in the UK and Norway, Kaya is also an active singer and songwriter herself. As an integral part of Sense of Sound; both as a workshop leader and choir singer, she has sung with people like Ringo Starr at the Liverpool Capital of Culture, Jon Bon Jovi and Seal at the Royal Variety Show, session recordings with many artists and as a finalist in BBC 1’s Last choir Standing.
As a solo artist, or with her own band, Kaya gigs regularly and has performed alongside Brett Andersson (Suede), Noah & The Whale, Sandi Thom, The Wombats.
